On Saturday our U16 team representation took part in National XVII edition of Santa Claus Tournament in category 2002 and younger organized by MUKS Praga Warszawa at the sportshall at Szanajcy Street.
Diamonds Academy Team was compounded of 10 players – 1 player born in 2002, 6 players born in 2003 and 3 players born in 2004.
12 teams took part in the tourney (3 groups per 4 teams).
In a group phase we played against MUKS Praga Warszawa A, AZS Uniwersytet Warszawski and Pogoń Siedlce.
Thanks to 2nd place in the group we got to quaterfinal.
In the quaterfinal our opponent was Mazovia Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
Diamonds won 3:1.
In the semifinal we faced one of the Muks teams.
Match against MUKS Praga C has ended with our victory 2:0.
After the whole day of fixtures we played again against MUKS Praga Warszawa A..
Unfortunately, we did not succeed in winning the last match.
Finally, we occupied 2nd spot in the tourney.
Ola was chosen the best defender of the tournament.
